Proud to share the publication of the ISO/IEC 30134 White Paper: Overview of Data Centre Infrastructure KPIs
What started as a personal sketch — drawn up to clarify the interrelationships between measurements and where exactly they should be taken — has now become an official ISO/IEC publication.
After sharing an initial concept with the ISO/IEC JTC1 SC39 WG1 committee, it was further developed and elaborated into the ISO/IEC 30134 White Paper: a practical overview of the full suite of data centre infrastructure KPIs, providing additional guidance on their correct application and the synergies between the various metrics and calculations across the ISO/IEC 30134 series.

The paper is designed to be a practical resource for anyone working with data centre measurement and reporting — whether you are a data centre manager, energy specialist, controls engineer, auditor or project manager — helping to make more informed decisions and optimise data centre performance.
For me personally, this publication represents something meaningful. It is the result of years of hands-on operational experience combined with active involvement in international standardisation — and I am proud that this knowledge can now be shared broadly across the data centre sector, contributing to its continued professionalisation.
